Ground Floor

The Ground Floor of Twenty Acres is that of a traditional farmhouse, with tasteful renovations having been made. Twenty Acres retains a friendly, cosy atmosphere, while being spacious enough to house an extended family or large group.

The focal point of the ground floor, and indeed of the whole house, is the magnificent farmhouse kitchen. The kitchen area, complete with Aga and standard appliances, leads onto a light and airy dining area. This dining area, with its table for ten, is undoubtedly where most groups choose to congregate. It is made even more attractive on a sunny day as the entire end of the room can open out onto the patio.

Go down the hall from the kitchen, and you will come to the sitting room and pool room. The sitting room is a lovely spot to while away a lazy afternoon. The views from the windows across the countryside emphasise the rural feel of the house.

Across the hallway is the pool room. Like the kitchen area, it too has French Windows that open out onto the patio and garden. It is a light spot to while away a few hours playing on the pool table.

Had you gone the other way from the kitchen, you would have found the utility area. A large atrium, which opens onto the garden, is surrounded by a downstairs shower and toilet, a utility room complete with washing machine and a large living room. Finally, there is a second living area, complete with piano.
